The constraint
When the project pipeline outgrows BIM capacity
Most data-center programmes do not fail for lack of software licences. They stall when model production, coordination and issue close-out cannot keep pace with design freeze dates.
Describe the discipline, the CDE and the freeze date. That is usually enough to decide whether a pod or a work package is the right first move.
Design backlog
Packages queue behind a small number of people who both model and coordinate. Late packages then arrive into a congested plant space.
Coordinator shortage
Clash tests run, but nobody owns classification, assignment and close-out. The federated model becomes a report, not a decision tool.
Revit production peaks
Bid periods, resubmissions and staged halls create short, sharp demand that a standing headcount cannot absorb without overtime or quality loss.
Hiring lag
Permanent recruitment is too slow for a 12-week modelling peak, and too expensive to keep idle between halls.
Project-specific standards
Each client CDE, template, naming convention and BEP is different. Capacity that cannot adopt those rules is not usable capacity.
Contractor overflow cost
Buying emergency modelling from the installer is possible. It is rarely the cheapest or the most controlled way to recover a programme.

Dedicated BIM pod
A standing team on the programme. Typical first configuration: one BIM coordinator or lead plus two to five BIM / Revit engineers, a defined reporting cadence, and client-aligned standards. Composition follows the deliverable list.
Defined work package
A bounded model or coordination scope, agreed deliverables and an agreed window. Useful as a first engagement or for a discrete hall, plant room or prefabrication package.

Managed monthly capacity against an existing team’s backlog — bid, resubmission, or a coordination peak — in your environment.

Why data centres are different
Mission-critical coordination is not generic BIM.
Ardaron has not published a project portfolio. The delivery framework is built around the conditions that make data-centre BIM harder than a typical commercial building — so a first package is not treated as office-fitout modelling.
Service density
Electrical distribution, cooling, containment and controls share the same corridors and plant volumes. A clash that would be a nuisance on a workplace project is often a programme event here.
Plant-space congestion
Switchrooms, UPS rooms, battery rooms, CHW plant and heat-rejection plant are sized around equipment that will be replaced. Spatial models have to leave that logic intact.
Maintainability and replacement routes
Clearances, pulling paths and valve access are coordination constraints. They are not optional detailing to be resolved on site.
Phasing and modularisation
Halls, pods and prefabricated skids land on a live or staged site. The model has to respect sequence, not only geometry.
Commissioning and asset information
If handover data is required, it has to be planned as information need — not hoped for as a by-product of 3D modelling. BIM is not automatically a digital twin.
What we will not claim
We do not invent hyperscaler logos, Tier ratings or completed-MW figures. Credibility here is process, QA and the honesty of scope.

No two appointments follow an identical sequence. The diagram is the default spine we align to your BEP and CDE states — Work in Progress, Shared, Published — not a promise that every project uses the same gates.

Access is granted under your IT and security rules. The default is that models stay in your common data environment.
Quality
What is checked before a model is issued.

Template, coordinates, worksets, links and naming against the BEP and project information standard.

Warnings, unused links, view discipline and file-size behaviour that will break federation.
Clash status
Tests run on an agreed matrix. Residual clashes are classified, not hidden.
Issue log
Open items have an owner and a model revision. Closed items are checked in the next federation.
Drawings
Sheet consistency with the model state being issued — not a parallel 2D set.
Delivery gates
Hold points you define. Nothing is treated as approved until your team says it is.
Ardaron provides BIM and design-support delivery under the client’s engineering direction. Professional design responsibility, calculations, code compliance and statutory approvals remain defined by the appointment. This page is not electrical, mechanical or fire-engineering advice.
Questions buyers actually ask
Before you send a package.
- Can Ardaron work within our existing Revit standards?
- Yes. Templates, families, naming and the BEP are adopted at setup. We do not overlay a parallel office standard.
- Do you provide individual engineers or managed teams?
- Managed teams and defined scopes. We do not place CVs into your line management.
- Can you support project-specific BIM peaks?
- That is a primary use of the work-package and capacity-extension models. Timing depends on scope, access and standards — we do not quote a guaranteed mobilisation SLA.
- Can the team work directly with our BIM manager?
- Yes. The Ardaron lead reports into your BIM manager or project manager, in your CDE and meeting cadence.
- Which data-center disciplines can you support?
- BIM / Revit production and coordination support across electrical, mechanical, public health and related spatial interfaces. Calculation, protection studies and design sign-off stay with the appointed designers.
- Can Ardaron support UK and European projects?
- Yes. Delivery is organised around European working hours, English and French, and client CDEs. Nearshore production sits in Morocco; it is a capacity base, not the proposition.
- How quickly can a BIM pod be mobilised?
- It depends on access, template maturity and the freeze date. We will say so plainly on the first call rather than invent a number.
- Can we begin with one defined package?
- That is the intended first step. A hall, a plant room, a coordination sprint or a drawing recovery package is enough to test the model.
- How is quality controlled?
- Named lead, documented setup, internal QA gate, issue log and client hold points. See the quality section on this page and the BIM guide.
- Can you work under NDA?
- Yes. We put an NDA in place before you send project information.
